From Claire Smyth, Kingston University

Claire Smyth was the person in the Kingston University BA and MA journalism team covering the election. She sent this message of thanks to WINOL for the copy supplied on election night for their paper and website. Unfortunately the paper was not in the end actually printed, but again it really gives the reporters boasting rights to say that they not only provided live OBs but also fed copy to a newspaper at the same time. That's tremendous stuff. Anyway Claire writes:

Your man at the Winchester count was very good and dictated copy down the phone before the result was announced and later got someone to call with the final result.

A few of us continued to work on until dawn subbing copy and uploading it onto our website (which is ran by the masters students). You can look here... http://riveronline.co.uk/09/news . Hopefully they'll get more of the stories up but as our classes have finished and only the master students have access to the software, I'm not confident on this.

Thanks again for all the copy your guys sent over. It was professional and some folk worked really hard at keeping us regularly updated. It was good to see our reporter Lara featured on the TV too! She'll be one to watch in the future.
