The latest WINOL bulletin after a slight technical clean up in post production is here. The main weakness is the political story where the script seems to mix up local and national elections and is biased. If the election was officially on we woukld have been in breach of the OFCOM guidelines on strict equal air-time = FATAL ERROR. As it happens we have to have to have balance overf time, so the plug for the Tory balances up the pro-Liberal plug we had last week. This point alone shows why journalism can ONLY be a thing which is done over adn over again. We need to think how to handle the hand over from news to sport. The presentation however I think is really excellent and everyone has cvome on - nice clear clean delivery and relatively sold scripting. The scripts could be tighter and everyone shouldre-read Evans. First years - ebenefiting from the new 'precision English mini course' are already in many cases writing much tighter scripts. So that neeeds thinking about. Meanwhiule I will update the non-linear news plaqyer on the front of the winol site when I get a minute. It is out of date and probably putting people off. I think we should go for a 'launch' this week so Paul needs to think about that because the traffic is very low at the moment.
