HCJ 2 - Modernism, Nietszche, Existentialism

Fairly good series here on the BBC tracing existentialism back to Nietszche. Not a bad intro to 20th century philosophy. If you are struggling with the text of Zarathustra itself this is a good way to limber up...

Sartre episode:

Warburton on Existentialism and Humanism - morality without Christianity, existence is prior to essence - 'you are what you are'

World War Two. The existential dilemma - to collaborate or resist.

Excellent talk about the set Novel - The Outsider (or The Stranger) by Albert Camus.
