News package for next week

Brian writes: Year Two and Year Three students will need to produce a 1'30" (90 second) package for next week. It should be filmed, edited on Final Cut Pro and saved back onto DV tape. The package should contain at least two interviewees, a PTC and GVs - and should be put together in the same format as you see every evening in regional TV news programmes.

Third Years - packages will be screened on Monday - with Ian Anderson and Chris Horrie on hand to give you some tips.

Second Years - packages will be screened on Tuesday - with Tom Hepworth and Brian Thornton giving feedback.

The choice of topic is entirely your own - but the point at this stage is more on displaying your ability to produce broadcast quality material, rather than prize-winning journalism.

You can work in groups of two or three.
